| The SKU is also like a date
of expiration on an item of packaged food. But the text reports
even though the news is old news. Text is lifted from the New York
Times report series, “The Struggle for Iraq” from a
period on or near the date of the SKU. The third element is images
of the eyes of wounded children in Iraq from 2003. I found the source
images on aljazeera.net in 2003. I made them into banners for the
banner art collective, and later these became machinima interventions
in the project velvetstrike, a collection of anti-war sprays for
the video game Counterstrike. |
